	The BikeAthens BRP began in 2001 as a small group of friends in a garage, fixing bikes for the homeless in Athens. Thousands of volunteers have passed through the shop, most of whom started as novices and left with at least a few bike repair skills. 			In 2022, we received a grant from REI to purchase a retired FED EX van to bring a mobile shop to more places and events.


			In the summer of 2023, our landlord terminated our lease forcing us to move to our current location. We hope to reopen to the public in December 2023 or early January 2024. In the meantime we are handling clients and customers by appointment.
