Following a life-changing childhood experience rescuing and rebuilding a bike from the neighbor's trash, my desire to experience and share the joy of rebuilding never waned, it only grew. I ran a repair business by age 13 and after the distraction that was grad school, I started the Silicon Valley Bicycle Exchange and am now president of the board and I have committed >100 hours/year for 24 years running. <br />
