Worcester Earn-A-Bike is a community bike shop teaching people bicycle maintenance while enabling them to earn a bike from our inventory of donated bicycles.

Location

Our shop is located at 4 King Street (rear), Worcester, MA 01610. The shop entrance is around the back of the Stone Soup building.

The shop is open Wednesdays (4:00-7:00) and Saturdays (11:00 am -3:00 pm) for all ages.

History

Worchester Earn-a-Bike was started by community members with the idea of having an earn-a-bike program in Worcester inspired by the success of a program run by Bikes Not Bombs in Roxbury.

The organization started operations in 2001, under fiscal sponsorship of MassBike. In 2005, it the organization incorporated as its own nonprofit. The group hosted Bike!Bike! Northeast in 2013.
