We offer open shops where you can come and use our tools or get help working on your bike - we won't fix it for you, but will guide you if you need it. We also provide mechanics classes, a wimmin and girls night, and a variety of rides and social events. We have a wide range of used parts available in return for donations, and we also have used bikes, both ready to ride and needing to be built.

Hours

Check the website for details, but usually Monday, Tuesday, Wednesday and Sunday evenings and the morning of the last Saturday of the month are open shops. Wimmin and girls' night is the second Thursday of the month from 7pm-9pm. Click here for our calendar.

Directions

We are located in Mount Rainier, Maryland, around half a mile from the NE DC line. We're next to the Fire Station and three blocks from Glut Food Co-op. Click here for a map.

By bike from DC: There are a number of routes, but it's often convenient to take the Met Branch Trail or Irving to Brookland, and then cut over either on Taylor which becomes Bunker Hill, or on Monroe.

By bus/Metro: The closest Metro Stations are West Hyattsville (green line) and Rhode Island Ave or Brookland (red line). The F2 will take you from West Hyattsville to Mount Rainier. From Rhode Island Ave, take the T18, 84 or 86 and get off at the traffic circle in Mount Rainier. From Brookland, take the G8 to Eastern and Bunker Hill and then walk 8 blocks east on Bunker Hill.

By car: We are just off Rhode Island Avenue (Route 1). Coming from DC, make a left on 34th Street at the traffic circle in Mount Rainier and then take the next right on Bunker Hill. Going towards DC, make a right on 34th Street at the traffic circle and then take the next right on Bunker Hill. Parking is available in the parking lot of the Fire Station.
