My father in law had an electronics factory in Chicago, but one worker was employed solely to repair old children's bicycles he bought at police auctions etc. When they ran well, they were added to a shipping container in the parking lot. When the containers got full, they were shipped to an imaginary address in Eastern Europe, where he'd spent time in/immediately after WW2. He figured that eventually someone (probably the mob) would give up trying to find the correct recipient, break into the containers, and handle distribution for him – and kids would get bicycles.
